Llano, TX Mayor Virdel Admitting to an Illegal Closed Meeting and City Manager Brenton Lewis Stopping Him - Too Late
	On 10/21/13, Mayor Mike Virdel admits to an illegal, secret, closed meeting to approve $50,000 for a dredging project. This is a violation of the Texas Open Meetings Act. In response to a Texas Public Information Act request, the City of Llano said that the meeting was properly held but the Texas Attorney General's Office found that not to be true. The Ofice of the Texas Attorney General Criminal Prosecutions Division is now investigating. It gets worse. The City of Llano went on to sign a contract for $48,000 with the contractor discussed in the illegal secret meeting thus violating bidding and purchasing laws. This is just one instance of the many illegal actions committed by the Llano City Council.
